'Ungayithenga inhlizyo nomongo wami - (African curios)'
check this, (click the title which is a link)
its also called
'you can buy my heart and my soul' by Andries Botha (Boet)
made at Natal Technikon Durban
this is what he says about it (in case of retro modems and stuff)
"Since the work is essentially a biopsy into the heart of masculinity that I have taken a personal perspective on and assumed that the essential building block of male behaviour is formulated around your primary role-model: your father. From that relationship, in ever concentric circles that emanate from there and embraces cultural and social contexts, geography of an emotional and physical nature, the preconditioning that shapes masculinity, is fraught. The reference points for the work is the anthropological model."
and some other stuff

the space of Anselm Kiefer, for epitomisation, and a picture of Amselm for clarity
and then from the writing bit, which I only saw a bit of, one thing Kiefer says is that "..I sometimes work with paintings on the floor and move them around a lot. For me this is natural, for the painting is not static - even my easils have wheels. The paintings move around in the night! When I move them they generate new combinations and relationships. One painting is never one painting in my studio. Each is always seen in the context of others. .. But even then, showing my work in a gallery or a museum seems quite an unnatural thing for me to do..."
probably because, partly, the studio and the museum doesnt have enough space, and has too many rules and then the paintings arent used to the other paintings and stuff. maybe.
thats my bit, not what Kiefer said
and its pretty cool that this kiefer stuff was in the middle of something else that happened to be here today
