Picture

This is a different picture, because the first one doesnt read properly, sort of thing... and I suppose its better to be smiling. Hey.

Read this. its good to collect hero's.

Laurence Van Der Post:

The extraordinary life of Laurens van der Post is not easily capsulized. Author of of many books, farmer, soldier, prisoner of war, political adviser to British heads of state, educator, humanitarian, philosopher, explorer, and conservationist are titles that barely indicate the depth and breadth of this rare individual. Born in 1906 in the interior of southern Africa, he lived among the people who created the first blueprint for life on earth, becoming the principal chronicler of the Stone Age Kalahari Bushmen. He was also one of C.G. Jung's closest friends for sixteen years. Van der Post dedicated his life to teaching the meaning and value of indigenous cultures in the modern world, a world he felt is in danger of losing its spiritual identity to technology, prejudice, empty values, and a lack of understanding of the interconnectedness of all life on earth. Awarded a knighthood (the C.B.E.) in 1981, Sir Laurens died after his 90th birthday, in December, 1996.

QUOTE FROM one of HIS BOOKs:

"What had happened to that great dreaming process I discovered then in me and others? What of the ladder, phosphorescent between a star-packed heaven and stony waste-land earth, charged with angelic messengers ascending and descending it? When I looked around me it was not only as if the dream had vanished in the debris of war and disaster behind me, and the ladder between men and their greatest value removed, but that they had lost their capacity to dream. ... I knew that somehow the world had to be set dreaming again...."

new stuff in the making

Strange picture, but anyway, I've started making wire and paper mache birds and dolls, this is my first one, first layer of paper mache, needs lots more layers, lots of bright and funky paint and then it can hang from the roof of Sparkle Empire Playground!!

AND , please have a look at this site, its about the power of dolls. Dolls pretty much rock, a lot.
Dolls of Hope - Save lives in South Africa
It starts of like this:
In a country ravaged by AIDS, an unexpected group is mobilizing.
Grandmothers in South Africa who have lost one or more children to AIDS are fighting to support their grandchildren and save them from illness. Their weapons – in a land without HIV drugs – are hand-crafted dolls. Selling dolls gives them a small source of income to pay for their new expenses and also helps educate their community about HIV.
"They're making dolls that save lives" says Los Angeles AIDS activist Cynthia Davis. "They really are dolls of hope."

Adios for 2day....

and so the Blog starts

This is the beginning of my blog. hello.
Its about transition and stuff, and holds no loyalty to spelling or correctness or the world of grownups as we know them. At the moment its about my oposite of a love affair with my IT job, that will hopefully become history in the not too distant future, and be taken over by MAKING and CREATING, and helping the world be more beautiful, and that way people can be more sort of happy because they'll love their environment, which will make their psychi kind of more at home and stuff...
